So here we are at a local pumpkin patch yesterday. It wasn't exactly what we had expected. The pumpkins were not in a patch. Due to the cold weather they had lost a lot of pumpkins, so they just laid out what was left. The girls still had a lot of fun picking them out. We will be carving our pumpkins on Monday. Super excited. For Halloween Taylor will be a 50's girl, Lauren will be Snow White and Austin will be a cow. I love Halloween, it's so fun!While we were at the pumpkin patch we got this bizarre looking pumpkin. I guess it's the kind you use for pumpkin pie. So Joe was thrilled, we went home cooked it up and it made the most delicious pie ever! He was so excited we made two. A lot easier than I thought it would be.
I have never made pumpkin pie using a real pumpkin! I might need to try your recipe! I just use the canned stuff! :)
